Literature Text

This is the first part of a project I'm working on. This was originally a story for an assignment in school but now I'm trying to rewrite it into a fan fiction :) i hope it will turn out as good as I'm imagining xD So this is kind of just an introduction thing ^.^

[y/c] = your city

[This story is read in readers POV!]

One of my friends once told me that I had the powers to save the world, as a joke of course, and I just laughed and told her she was crazy. Now, I don’t know anymore. Maybe her joke actually turned out to be the truth?

Today was the day. My family and I were going to move in to our new house in a small town called Helida. I had never heard of this small town before and didn’t really care either. It was very far away from my earlier hometown so I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I would miss my old friends. I would probably never have the chance to meet them again since I moved so far away.

-“[y/n] , we’re finally here!”, my mom exclaimed happily, interrupting my thoughts.

I looked up from my phone and out the window. There were a couple of houses here and there, some bigger than others and as far as I could see, each house seemed to have its own flag. The thing that made it all so strange was how every flag was a specific country’s flag. I didn’t have time to think much about it since the car suddenly stopped moving. I looked up and saw a beautiful cottage painted in white. The cottage had two floors and was surrounded by a beautiful garden.
“Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all”, I thought as I opened the car door and stepped out.

A few days had passed by and I started to settle down a bit. I did miss my friends a lot already, even though I had talked to [b/n] a little, but today I was hopefully get to know some new people. It was time for the first day in my new school. Naturally I was nervous, it almost felt like going to school for the very first time again. I threw a glance into the mirror.
“Okay, I’m ready”, I thought as I threw my school bag over my shoulder and started to make my way to school.

The first thing I noticed when I arrived at school was how small it seemed to be. It was a lot smaller than my old school at least. I knew there couldn’t be that many students here.
“I hope someone wants to be my friend”, I thought for myself and laughed a bit.

I arrived at the school entrance and when I went inside I was met by loud chattering. The chattering was coming from small groups of students standing here and there in the corridor. It seemed like no one took any notice of me since they were all engrossed in their conversations. Suddenly I felt someone tap my shoulder

-“Excuse me, I don’t think I’ve seen you here before. Are you new here?”

I turned around I saw who the person speaking to me was. A girl, around my height with brown long hair and a hair clip in shape of a pink flower on the right side of her head. She talked with an accent but I couldn’t really place where it was from.

-“Yes, that’s right. I moved here a couple of days ago so this is my first day here”, I answered with a smile.

The girl reached out a hand for me to shake and introduced herself

-“My name is Elisabeta Héderváry. As you might notice on my accent, I’m from Hungary. And your name is?”
I returned the handshake as I spoke

-“[y/n]”, I answered.

-“It’s nice to meet you [y/n], do you want me to show you around?” Elisabeta asked.

-“ Yes that would be nice of you since I’d probably get lost otherwise”, I answered, scratching the back of my head while giving a light laugh.

Elisabeta showed me around the place and on the way she introduced me to two of her friends, Alice from Belgium and Roderich from Austria. She also pointed out other people standing here and there but I had a hard time remembering everyone. But there was one thing I couldn’t really get out of my head. It was how everyone seemed to be from different countries. It was really weird actually, but I didn’t have much time to think about it since the school bell rang and it was time for the first lesson.

-“Oh! It’s time to go, what lesson do you have first [y/n]?” Elisabeta asked.

-“Umm, English actually, but I don’t know which classroom it’s in”, I said while looking on my schedule. Elisabeta glanced at the schedule in my hands.

-“It’s the classroom right there”, she said while pointing at a door to the left.

-“Okay, thanks for the help, see you later maybe?” I said.

-“It was nothing, I’m glad I could be of help, see you!”, she answered and made her way to another classroom.

I was really nervous.
“I wish I had the same class as Elisabeta and her friends. They seemed so nice”, I thought while I walked forward to the door leading to my classroom.
“Well, here goes nothing”, I thought and opened the classroom door.

It was the same as when I opened the door to the school, I was met by loud chattering from the students in the classroom. No one seemed to have noticed how someone new had entered the classroom. I nervously looked around the room for a place to sit and the only empty one left was in the far back, beside a very tall and broad-shouldered boy. His hair was short and light blonde and he had beautiful purple eyes. He wore a pink scarf around his neck and had a child-like smile plastered on his face. My heart started beating a bit faster when I saw him. I had to admit it, he was kind of good looking. When I made my way to the chair next to the boy he looked up at me.
-“Privjet, I don’t think I’ve seen you here before, what’s your name?”, he asked with a strong Russian accent when I sat down beside him.

Now when I was this close I could feel an extremely intimidating aura coming from him.

-“Yeah, I’m new here, My name is [y/n] and I moved here with my parents a few days ago.” I answered shyly.

-“ It’s nice to meet you, sunflower. My name is Ivan”, he said.

I blushed a bit at the nickname he gave me.
“Sunflower? Why did he call me sunflower?” I thought wondering. Our conversation ended when the teacher entered the room.

-“God morning class”, she said but no one seemed to hear her. I saw how her expression turned into an annoyed one and then an angry one.

-“Everyone shut up, It’s time for class!” She yelled angrily. Everyone went silent and stared at their teacher.

-“Good, it seems like I FINALLY got everyone’s attention”, she said smiling and then checked a paper she held in her hand.

-“Hmm, it’s seems like we’re supposed to have a new student here today. [y/n] , are you here? She looked up from the paper. I stood up from my chair

-“Yes, that’s me”, I said nervously. Suddenly everyone’s eyes were on me.

-“Well, it’s nice to meet you [y/n], my name is Lisa and I’m the teacher for this class, she said and continued

-“Could you give us a small introduction of yourself?”

-“ Umm well, my name is [y/n] as you said. I moved to this town a couple days ago from [y/c]. My interests are watching anime, learning world history and also listening to music”, I said.

I felt how everyone still stared at me and the teacher seemed to be watching me with interest in her eyes. It felt extremely awkward so hurried to sit down again at my bench after my little introduction. Then Petra started talking again and the class began.

To be continued in next part ^.^
